Peaches & Cream Translucent Setting Powder Review!

Welcome, one and all, to my first ever review on this blog! I am so excited about beginning to share my makeup views and looks with you all and I have so many ideas for The Musings Of A Makeup Enthusiast! Eek! Thank you so much for giving this blog a chance, whether you found me on Twitter or Instagram or just so happened to stumble upon this page!

Now, before I continue my ramblings about how blessed I am to have people take interest in me and never cease them, lets get started. This is kiiiind of nerve wrecking, so I'm sorry if I suck at writing or offend with an opinion differing to yours or anything like that at all. I am no expert in the fields of cosmetics, these are just my opinions on the product.

So, Peaches & Cream is a brand based in the UK (hey there fellow Brits!) that has popped up all over my newsfeed for quite a while. I have been dying to try their cosmetics for a while so when I saw the translucent setting powder on beauty bay with several great reviews I thought, why the hell not!

Before I go on, let me tell you about how amazing I find beauty bay (beautybay.com) to be! No, I am in no way sponsored by them or affiliated, but damn. Damn.

I ordered my products on Saturday and they came Sunday morning on free delivery! And the prices! I got a peaches and cream powder, a morphe gel liner and a morphe brush all for under £20, which was awesome. Granted, my gel liner is being sent in a different package, but two of my products were at my door being signed for the next day. The compact came in a plain brown cardboard box and it was thoroughly bubble wrapped for protection.

Anyway, Beauty Bay is awesome, and I would rate this product at a 7.5/10. It cost 6.50 which I think is very reasonable considering the product quality although it's not quite my holy grail product (saving that for my 10/10!).

This setting powder came in a pretty pink compact with a window so you could see it in all it's glory. It was a good size for the price and fit nicely in the palm of my hand.
Apologies for camera quality, as I cannot find my connection cable for my DSLR!

When I applied the product on a friend yesterday, I used the product to bake her face. I haven't been baking for long but I find it really works for setting concealer well! The product was applied over Match Perfection foundation and Wake Me Up concealer (which are, as you can see, obviously well loved)  in the under eye area and chin as these are the areas that are more likely to crease and rub off.

Usually I would have used a  damp pink beauty blender that I picked up from a W7 store to apply the product but I had to use a Real Techniques Powder Brush as I seem to have misplaced it (it's my MISSION to find that blender!) somewhere. I picked up as much product as I could and dabbed it onto these areas but it proved difficult to get a lot of product onto the brush however I suspect it would have been much easier to use the damp beauty blender. I left my powder to bake for ten minutes and focused on contouring my nose and forehead before blending it into my skin, which was quite easy to do.

I applied the product to myself  today as just a full face powder, in the morning before a hard days work. It made my face feel smooth and silky although it didn't quite take away the shine of my somewhat oily Match Perfection foundation. There wasn't much fallout, and I used a real techniques powder brush that had just been washed and dried. It didn't alter the colour of my foundation at all and set my makeup quite nicely for a natural look.

When you come home after a long day and realise your makeup is loooong gone.

When I came home I noticed that my makeup actually seemed to have stayed on quite a bit better than usual actually, and although usually I come home seven hours later looking like an oily monster I don't feel that so much today.

Overall, I do like this product a lot. I was a little disappointed with the amount of product I managed to get on the brush but again, I think picking up product works so much better with a beauty blender and it may be perfect for you. It isn't the best product I've used but it is a great product for just 6.50 and definitely worth every penny unlike some drugstore makeup I've come across. I really hope you enjoyed this review, and it helped make your mind up about buying the product or not. Maybe it's just what you need!

I would love it if you people got involved with my blog! Maybe leave me a comment about what you think of this product, or ask any questions - or just let me know what you would like to see next from The Musings Of A Makeup Enthusiast.
